Assess

We walk the floor and read your data. What’s actually constraining output, how routings differ from reality, where setup time really goes, and what your ERP can and can’t give us. You get a straight answer on scope before anyone signs anything.

Model

Resources, calendars, attributes and changeover rules built to match how the plant runs — then tested against schedules you already know the answer to, so you can see the model is right before you rely on it.

Integrate

The ERP connection built, scheduled and monitored, with the failure modes handled — because the integration that breaks quietly at 2am is the one that ends adoption.

Hand over

Training aimed at your schedulers, not your IT department. The measure of success is whether the person running the plan next quarter can explain what the system decided and adjust it without calling us.

When PlanetTogether isn’t the answer

Full APS earns its cost when you have real sequencing complexity — sequence-dependent changeovers, multi-stage flow, shared constraints across lines or plants. If your scheduling pain is mostly visibility and dispatch, a full implementation is more than you need.

That’s why we built ScheduleIQ — finite scheduling without the implementation project. We’d rather point you at the right size of tool than sell you the bigger one.

Common questions

Before you call

How long does a PlanetTogether implementation take?

It depends far more on your data than on the software. A single plant with clean routings and a standard ERP connector moves quickly; multi-plant with sequence-dependent changeovers and a custom integration takes longer. We give you a scoped answer after the assessment rather than a number on a website.

Do we need to fix our ERP data first?

No — but you do need to know how bad it is. Assessing routing and setup-time accuracy is part of phase one, and where the data won’t support finite scheduling we tell you what has to change before the schedule can be trusted.

We already own PlanetTogether but it isn’t being used. Can you help?

That’s a common call, and often a faster project than a fresh implementation. Usually the model doesn’t match how the plant runs, the integration has drifted, or the schedulers were never trained on the reasoning. All three are fixable.

PlanetTogether was acquired by CAI Software. Does that change anything for us?

Not operationally. CAI acquired PlanetTogether in June 2026 and the product continues to be sold and supported as a standalone, with CAI committing further investment in development. Existing licences, integrations and roadmaps carry on. We remain a certified implementation partner, and our support for your deployment is unchanged.

Can you integrate PlanetTogether with SAP?

Yes — SAP↔PlanetTogether integration is one of the things we’re known for, alongside QAD. Where the standard connector doesn’t cover a requirement, we build the extension.

Do you support multi-plant scheduling?

Yes. Multi-plant capacity coordination is one of the strongest reasons to run PlanetTogether rather than a single-site tool, and several of our clients run it across four or more plants.
